the best cookies you'll ever eat

that's right. i'm about to share a recipe for the best cookies you will ever eat. prepare yourself.

i was fortunate [aka spoiled] enough to grow up in one of those houses where there's always some sort of cookie or brownie coming out of the oven and a homemade dinner on the table every night. thanks to my mom, i've got a lot of great recipes and yummy treats that i make these days.

ok, are you ready to know about the best cookies?

my mom calls them chocolate chip pudding cookies,
but we grew up calling them chocolate chocolate chip cookies.
my theory is double the chocolate, double the goodness.

chocolate chocolate chip cookies
2 1/4 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 cup [2 sticks] margarine
1/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar
 6 oz. chocolate chips
4 oz. instant chocolate pudding
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs

1. preheat oven to 375 degrees
2. mix flour and baking soda. set aside.
3. in mixer, combine margarine [softened], sugar, brown sugar, pudding mix, and vanilla. beat until smooth.
4. add eggs. beat until smooth.
5. gradually add flour mixture. beat until smooth.
6. stir in chocolate chips.
7. drop by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
8. bake for 8-10 minutes.
9. devour these tiny pieces of heaven.

*makes about 4 dozen

ingredients [except no salt...don't know how that ended up in there!]

measure out 2 1/4 cups flour and put in separate bowl

add 1 tsp baking soda to flour

mix flour and baking soda and set aside

to mixing bowl, add softened margarine

add 1/4 cup sugar

add 3/4 cup brown sugar

add 4 oz package of instant chocolate pudding

add 1 tsp vanilla

mix that all together until it looks like...

then add two eggs, mix and it should look like this!
add about 6 oz of chocolate chips [or as many or little as you'd like!]

mix chips into dough

scoop onto ungreased cookie sheet and bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes

they come out of the oven looking like this. perfection.
let them cool and then eat them all. i mean, eat a few and save some for later. either one.
