mom’s homemade pizza

my mom’s homemade pizza is the best pizza i’ve ever eaten, with chicago style pizza being a close second. i could maybe already do eat pizza at least once a week. it’s kind of a problem.
> preheat oven to 250 degrees & turn off when temperature is reached (you want a warm place for the dough to rise)
> in small bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water, add sugar, stir. let sit until dissolved. (see photo two)
 > in metal bowl, add flour and yeast mixture. stir. add garlic and olive oil. stir until mixed. (see photo three)
> cover bowl with towel & place in warm oven (make sure oven is OFF)
> leave to rise about 30-40 minutes (see photo four)
> generously grease pan with crisco (see photo five)
> cover rolling pin in flour and roll out risen dough, not quite to the edges of the pan (see photo six)
> sprinkle with salt
> cover with towel & set on stove to rise until oven is ready
> bake dough @ 425 for 10 min, remove from pan (this is why you want to generously grease the pan) & bake 4-5 more minutes
> remove baked dough from oven, add sauce, cheese & toppings (see photos seven and eight)
> place pizza back in oven (on higher rack) and bake until cheese is browned (approximately 10-15 minutes)

  1. oh my goodness that looks so good! i made some homemade pizza a few weeks ago and it was so delicious and yummy. i can't wait to try this version!
