beauty products can be tricky for me. i’ll buy something and love it for a little while, and then realize that my skin doesn’t love it, or it’s not wearing how i want it to, or something else. however, i have a trusty few that i know i can count on, no matter the day. i’ve shared it before and will again, but Arbonne’s Perfecting Liquid Foundation is GOALS. it is the bomb dot com. if you’re looking for that perfect nude nail color, i recommend OPI Not My First Knockwurst, from their Germany collection. it’s a neutral with a slightly pink undertone that goes on nice and full-coverage (not sheer). i was heavy into lip gloss in middle school and then took about a 10 year hiatus to give my hair a break from always having sticky stuff in it (you know what i’m talking about). the Nars Lip Gloss in Turkish Delight has pulled me out of my ret and the lip gloss sun is shining brightly on my face. it’s a sheer pink, so it’s really pretty on its own or layered over another lip color.
i tend to go through phases with things. one week i’ll love it, the next week i’ll be onto something different, just to come right back another week later. it’s almost as if my personal style has a one week expiration date. but there some products/accessories/gadgets that resist the revolving door of my ever-changing preferences. and those are my tried-and-true, don’t want to be without, goods.
being that i’m in the jewelry business, i seem to have an ever-growing collection. i wear a lot of my own stuff, but also love to support other designers and wear their products. Mike got me this beautiful rose gold pave ring for my birthday and i wear it almost daily. i wear my diamond herkimer studs from Saressa Designs almost as much, too. (they’re currently sold out, but you can add your email to the wait list! or browse through her other earrings.) on days when i wear a watch, i usually grab this one from my sister. if i’m in the mood to wear a necklace, i like this simple glass stone necklace that i sell for Elisabeth Ashlie. it’s delicate enough that i can wear it with everything, and it’s a little more special because it’s Mike’s birthstone!
since it’s been extra cold and gross outside, i’ve been wearing my Sorel wedge boots a ton. they’re so warm and comfortable, even for having a 3 inch wedge. when i’m home, i’m almost always in my Ugg Ansley slippers. i have them in grey, but i’m totally crushin’ on these bright pink ones!
i have this Kate Spade mini crossbody in black and love it. it’s the perfect size to carry all of the necessities, and it’s small enough to not get in my way when i’m maneuvering through the streets or public transportation. and i just picked up these sunglasses from Anthropologie using a shop credit and have worn them everyday already. they’re a burgundy color, so i love that they’re a little different than all of my black/brown sunglasses. if you follow me on snapchat or instagram, i know you’ve seen how many times i’ve used this travel mug. it keeps my coffee nice and warm and is great for on-the-go, too!
