Summer Glow

Who doesn’t love to have a nice glow in the Summer? I’m an SPF 50 kind of girl, so I don’t typically get much of a glow from a tan (because it’s usually more of a burn), which means I love a good highlighting powder. I like the little extra bit it adds to my makeup look and how it can brighten up areas of my face.

I’ve been using Too Faced Candlelight Glow for a bit now and still really like it. It’s more of an iridescent highlight, which is so pretty when it catches the sun. I typically use this brush to run it along my nose, cupid’s bow, and around my brows.

I just recently started using the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder after hearing good things. They are so, so pretty. I picked up the travel-size one at Sephora first (which you can buy online here). The Dim Light is a really pretty, peachy color. I love how it looks paired with the Tarte Amazonian Clay Blush in Exposed. I have a feeling I’ll be getting a lot more use out of that one in the Fall.

I’ve been using the Mood Light every day, just on top of my Tarte Blush in Dollface.  I use this everyday blush brush to swipe a bit just on top of my cheek bones for a little extra glow. Mood Light catches the sun a little bit better than the Dim Light, so I prefer that one in the Summer.

Do you use a highlighting powder?
