Friday Edit, No.16

Happy Friday!

This weekend is the Chicago Marathon, which Mike, my roommate, and a couple other friends are running, so I’m looking forward to cheering them on! With my hot coffee, cozy clothes, and intact knees. I was tempted to sign up for it back in the Spring, but can say with 100% certainty that I am very, very glad that I didn’t. I’m so looking forward to being on the sidelines and watching them all complete such a big accomplishment!
I finally finished The Girl On The Train, just in time to see the movie! I was quite surprised by the ending and really enjoyed the book, overall. I downloaded The Woman in Cabin 10 and started that one last night. I’m only a couple chapters in, but can already see why so many people have enjoyed it.
I had some things to return to the mall yesterday, so I popped into Zara and picked up this open-front cardigan. It’s so cozy and soft – definitely going to be a staple this season
I’ve gotten so many questions about what I use to make my vanilla lattes at home. If you’re interested, here are the items:

I pour about a teaspoon of vanilla syrup into my mug, brew the shot of espresso (decaf or full caff), and froth vanilla almond milk in the frother. I googled a simple vanilla latte recipe to find the proper measurements, but now I just eyeball it. My roommate has had this equipment for a couple years now, which has me wondering why I wasn’t taking advantage of it that whole time!
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

I have a Nespresso and a similar frother, and over the past year or so I only made "fancy" coffee on the weekends or when we had company. And I would just use the Keurig and a splash of coconut milk during the work week. But your pics inspired me, and now I take time to froth my coconut milk… Now, even if it's Keurig brewed coffee, every day is "fancy". And that's a great way to start the day. 🙂

Good luck to Mike and your roommate! I ran my first marathon last Sunday. It becomes addicting. Already can't wait for the next. Chicago is certainly on the list!

The Woman in Cabin 10 is next on my list!
