Guys, it’s almost April, which means there’s only three full months left until our wedding day! OH MY. It’s going to fly by, as if it hasn’t already. Every past bride I’ve talked to has told me how quickly everything goes by they’re not lying. Between work, preparing for marriage, maintaining a social life AND planning a wedding, time seems to escape me most days. I’ve reached the point where I’m very much looking forward to the wedding day, mostly because it means all the decisions will have been made!
We’ve made some serious progress, which is wonderful. I had our first meeting with the company who will be doing all of the styling for the wedding and it was so fun! I loved being able to talk through the details and get a vision for the day and what it will look like. I’m so anxious to go back next month to make selections and actually see the things we chatted about.
We have our tasting with the caterer next week and I’m counting down the days! I’m so anxious to try all the food and make those selections, too. Cake tasting will come the following month, which I’m equally as excited for.
We’ve made good progress on our honeymoon plans, too! I’m looking forward to getting that nailed down in the next couple weeks and being able to fully check that off the list. Also, I cannot wait to travel around Europe with Mike – it will be such a cool way for us to start our marriage off.
My bachelorette weekend has been booked! My sister and best friend have planned it all without telling me a thing, so I’m completely in the dark!
Next big things on our list:
– figure out parking and transportation for guests
– start planning the feel, focus and flow of our ceremony
– picking Mike’s tie and pocket square, which has been surprisingly difficult
– pick out and order invitations!
There’s been progress, but the list of to-do’s still seems daunting. I’m looking forward to seeing the tangible things – like the tasting and the next meeting with event styling – to see the fruits of some of the work that has already been done.
P.S. I bought those swimsuits for our honeymoon – how cute are they?!
Oh, you're going to have so much fun! We're getting married in June and our timeline is just about a month ahead of yours, so I feel you. I laughed when you said that picking a pocket square was difficult because that's how I felt about ordering all of the paper goods for the wedding (invitations, table numbers, place cards, etc.) We have a wedding planner who has taken care of all of the logistics, which has been great (and truly relatively stress-free!), so I think the invitations stressed me out because it was literally the only decision I really had to make on my own! My mom and sister were laughing at me saying, "just pick one already!" but I scoured Minted and WPD for hours trying to find the perfect ones. Bridal brain 😉
I'm so happy for you guys! What book did you say you were reading? We have our first marriage counseling session on Monday, but I'd like to do some reading on my own, just to prepare my own heart. Any suggestions?

I love your comment about how difficult it is picking out the grooms tie/pocket square that was SO HARD for us. We had to have ordered over 20 samples before just picking one (mainly because I was sick of looking at ties! haha)
