Hello and Happy Saturday! I had the evening to myself last night (Mike was out with friends), so I fully took advantage! I had a little at-home happy hour on our deck, made my favorite green olive pasta (which Mike doesn’t like), and watched shows that he doesn’t like to watch. Don’t get me wrong, I love a good Friday night at home with him, but there’s something about just being alone in the house that was nice! It reminded me of the many nights I spent alone in my apartment in Chicago, before we were married. I truly loved that time in my life (and our relationship) – I’ll always have fond memories of my mid-20’s because of it. Worth noting, though, that it was hard to fall asleep because he wasn’t in bed with me! It’s funny how quickly things can change.

We don’t have too much on the agenda for the weekend, except for an event at our church this afternoon. Mike finished up the classwork part of his schooling this week (!!!), so I’m hoping we can find a little time to do something to celebrate that! I made sure to get all of my work done before the weekend officially started, so that I can fully unplug this weekend, which I’m grateful for.

A couple of girlfriends and I purchased a Groupon to a local fitness studio and have been taking classes the last couple of weeks. I’m actually surprised at how much I’ve enjoyed it! Like many people, I like how I feel when I’m working out regularly, but it’s usually a struggle to get me to put everything else aside to actually go to the gym. Having the accountability of other people going to the classes, as well as workouts that are different and enjoyable to me, has made a big difference! I find myself looking forward to the classes and wanting to workout 4-5x a week, which is new! So, if you’re looking to change things up or need some motivation to workout, consider teaming up with a friend or two to do it together! Even if it’s just texting one another when you exercise, it can be so motivating and encouraging to have other people in it with you.

A couple other things worth mentioning:

The best bralette is 40% off this weekend! I have it in 4 colors – it’s great!

This is such a cute dress! Also, this looks like something I would love. And these look like Madewell dupes!

I wore these hoops for the first time this week and was surprised at how much I liked them! I’m usually a stud earrings kind of girl, but these are so lightweight and simple, that I didn’t even realize they were there.

I shared this on Instagram earlier in the week, but this recipe for chicken lettuce wraps is one of our go-to’s. It’s easy and delicious! I usually serve it with a side of rice or edamame (I can’t just eat one thing for dinner, your girl needs options).

Have a great weekend!
