Black jeans are one of those closet staples that I think every woman should own and utilize. They’re a great way to change things up from your usual blue jeans. Depending on the wash, style, and presence of any distressing, they can also be incredibly transitional – from styling super casual to dressing up for date night or an evening out with girlfriends. I have a pair of distressed black jeans, which I love for more casual outfits, but wanted a pair of solid, well-fitting, no-distressing black jeans for dressing up, too. This pair fits that bill perfectly!
The more casual styling of these jeans is for those of you that love to wear leggings, but sometimes need a nicer option, and/or love the idea of wearing casual outfits with leggings, but just can’t bring yourself to wear leggings as pants. What do I mean by that? You can style these jeans with an outfit that you would wear leggings with. A simple striped tee, sneakers, and a jacket. An oversized tunic tee, platform slip-on sneakers, and a tote bag. A chunky knit sweater with Chelsea boots. You name the casual styling, you can do it with this black jeans! What’s great about the option of black jeans is that you can still be dressed in an accessible, comfortable way without feeling too casual.
For a more dressed up option, you can swap your usual blue jeans for black jeans. Black jeans, especially those without any distressing, can look and feel a bit more dressed up simply due to the fact that they’re black. Paired with a fun blouse, you could add mules for a laidback look or opt for booties for a more dressed up option. This is one of my favorite ways to wear black jeans – keeping a simple color palette and matching my accessories. If I’m doing a bolder top, like this busy print, I like to keep my accessories simple, so as not to compete with the top. Super simple styling, but you’ll feel like you can conquer the world!
The best part about black jeans like this is that they can easily be dressed up! If you love the idea of being able to wear heels for an evening out, but just don’t like dresses or skirts, black jeans are your friend. Styled with a pretty lace cami and heeled booties, black jeans lend to the styling of the outfit while allowing you to feel comfortable in what you’re wearing!
