DIY Holiday Coffee & Hot Cocoa Bar

Are you doing any hosting during the holiday season this year? As of now, we will be traveling to other homes of our families for all of the celebrations, but that didn’t stop me from wanting to put together a cute coffee and hot cocoa bar! If we do have last-minute guests, I will most certainly be putting this back out on our counter.

Hosting can be overwhelming, especially if it’s a lot of people or you don’t do it often. Growing up, my mom regularly hosted friends and family and I would act as her little apprentice. She always set up these beautiful centerpieces, set out a buffet line just right, and had the perfect dish for every single thing she served. It’s in my blood to like to set up things and host people! In case you’ve got loved ones coming over and want to create a fun way for them to enjoy some coffee and hot cocoa without overwhelming yourself, I’m sharing the details in this post!

We have some open counter space right next to our Keurig and Nespresso machine, so I just added a marble stand that I already had and started placing the bar “ingredients” around.

Here’s what I included in my coffee/cocoa bar:

To make it feel a little festive, I just added a few bottle brush trees and a string of lights that I had from last year.

What I love about a little bar like this is that you can leave it out for the duration of your company staying with you (although you’ll want to cover the marshmallows, so they don’t get hard!), so you just have to do a little work at the outset and then you’re done! You can totally customize it to whatever add-in’s you want to have, too.

If you find yourself having people over this season and want to do something a little fun, you should try setting something like this up! It’s fun for guests to go through and make a drink to enjoy and takes the pressure off of you to remember to serve coffee. I always appreciate a serve-yourself situation at a party or gathering – it adds a more casual feeling to the event and allows you to totally customize what you get for yourself!

This is such a cute Coffee & Hot Cocoa Bar! The 2018 Holiday Starbucks coffee is my favorite! I had no idea about the peppermint marshmallows so those will be purchased in a few. The little tree decor is super cute!

That is so lovely ~ I would totally do it if I could trust my cat NOT to get on the counter when I wasn’t looking! πŸ˜€
