A Few Things Bringing Me Joy Right Now

How’s everybody hanging in there? I’m thankful to have more good days than not-so-good days, but there’s still plenty of thoughts and things swirling around in my head all the time. With everything going on in the world and the impending arrival of our first baby, I’m finding that time spent doing things that I enjoy is more important than ever. Some days it’s a walk through the neighborhood or ordering takeout from a good restaurant to enjoy at home. Other days it’s as simple as making a latte and enjoying some time outside on our porch on a nice day! We’ve had some beautiful weather this week, so I find myself craving an iced latte and some fresh air in the afternoon pretty much every day.

Mike has been doing a lot of work in the yard, so I can usually see what he’s up to while on the porch. Milo almost always joins me for some snuggles and pets, so we will just sit in our egg chair and breathe in the fresh air for a bit. It’s a time for me to calm my mind, rest my feet, and just soak in the good things that we have to be thankful for. It’s so important, especially during scary and trying times, to try to focus on the good. That’s been my mindset the last month and a half or so and has truly made a difference on my outlook.

Also making a difference? Getting ready for the day! I still go makeup-free and wear sweats for the majority of the week, but find myself looking forward to the days that I pick out an outfit and style my hair. It’s fun to change it up, even if I don’t leave the house for the day, and to express my creativity that way. While I’m keeping my accessories simple, I still find myself reaching for layering necklaces and my favorite Victoria Emerson wrap bracelets. They’re the most comfortable bracelets to wear and I love how effortless they are. I’ve got quite a good assortment of them, so it’s fun to rifle through my stash and pick which bracelets I want to wear. If I’m wearing my Apple Watch, I’ll usually just pick one bracelet. If I’m not wearing my watch, I like to layer two bracelets together for a fun little wrist stack.

Victoria Emerson is currently offering 40% off all bracelets, so you can create your own stack like mine! If you’re looking to send a gift to a mom in your life for Mother’s Day, these bracelets are a great option! I gifted some to my mom for Christmas and she loves them!

Here are a few of my favorites that are currently available:

Thanks to Victoria Emerson for sponsoring this post! All opinions are my own.

I couldn’t agree more sometimes just getting up and getting dressed can make a big difference in starting your day and feeling good. For some reason I feel more motivated to do things 😂. Love your chair!
