A New Skincare Line I’m Enjoying

I’m thankful to have pretty good skin that I can rely on to stay clear. While some of that is genetics, plenty of credit also goes to the skincare products that I use. I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not adventurous when it comes to skincare, although I’m getting there. I’ll try a bold nail color or different lipstick color any day of the week, but it takes a lot for me to try a new product on my face. For the last couple of months, I’ve been using a few new products that I ordered from Walmart and am happy with them…and so is my skin! Do you ever buy beauty products from Walmart? It’s the first or second place I look when I’m restocking on a product I use regularly or am looking to try something new. Not only do they carry some of my favorite drugstore products, like my go-to mascara primer, but they also offer premium beauty products and brands. Think: Living Proof, Pureology, Stila, Bare Minerals, Estée Lauder, and many more! They also have an entire selection of “mindful” beauty products, with brands that focus on ethically-sourced and good-for-you ingredients.

I recently added some Derma-E products to my beauty closet, which I found in the “mindful beauty” category. Admittedly, I sometimes fall into the trap of assuming that if a skincare product has a higher price tag, that must mean it really works, but if you try a more affordable brand, you won’t get results. I’ve been pleasantly surprised to find that the Derma-E products I’ve tried are actually effective and work well on my skin. If you don’t want to take my word for it, just read the reviews on any of the products in the line! Here’s what I got and why I like it:

Derma-E Vitamin C Micellar Cleansing Water

I’ve never used a cleansing water before, but I’m fully on board now! I love having something that I can quickly put onto a cotton pad and swipe over my skin to refresh it and cleanse it. If you’re looking for a light and refreshing cleanser that is, this may be the one for you! I like using this after a shower, along my hairline, ears, and neckline to be sure that all of my makeup has been removed, before doing my nighttime skincare.

Derma-E  Firming DMAE Toner

I used to use a toner all the time, a few years back, and phased it out of my regular routine. I’m not sure why that happened, but I’ve been reminded that I like using a toner! I’ve been using this one in the evening sometimes, after I remove my makeup and cleanse my skin. It doesn’t dry me out and it helps to wipe away any excess makeup or product that I may have missed in cleansing, especially on my neck. Since my skin can err on the side of oily, I like to add this extra step to remove any excess oil or junk from it before applying my nighttime products. I use a cotton pad for this, too, and just sweep it all over my face and neck.

Derma-E Purifying Daily Detox Scrub

I love a good charcoal skincare product. I’m a huge fan of a charcoal mask, so a daily scrub with charcoal in it was an easy sell! I use this about once every week or two and love how my skin feels afterwards. It’s a super gentle exfoliator (you have to be careful with exfoliating your skin!) and one of those products that you can feel working as soon as you apply it. The charcoal gets deep down into my pores to clean out any buildup of product and my skin feels super soft after rinsing it off. This is probably my favorite product of the bunch! It’s a budget-friendly alternative to some of the higher-end products out there that does the job just as well.

Derma-E Vitamin C Concentrated Serum

I’ve been using a Vitamin C serum in my skincare routine for close to a year probably and will never look back! I love it! Not only does it help to brighten my skin, but I’ve found these serums to be hydrating and to help even out my skin tone. I love that this one is light and goes on smooth. It doesn’t leave a sticky or greasy residue on my skin and preps it well for makeup application! If you’ve wanted to try out a Vitamin C serum without breaking the bank (and, more importantly, without sacrificing quality and results.)

I’m intrigued by this Hydrating Night Face Cream with Hyaluronic Acid and the Firming DMAE Moisturizer.

I’m a proponent of taking a little extra time in your mornings and evenings to treat your skin right. Not only does clean, healthy skin help me to feel confident on no makeup days, but it also means that I get more out of my makeup products! When my skin is happy, my makeup applies and looks better, too! And if I’m going to spend time applying makeup, I want for it to look good, ya know?!

You can browse other premium beauty products from Walmart here. And don’t forget, they offer free delivery on orders of $35 or more!

Thanks to Walmart for sponsoring this post. All opinions are my own.

I too stumbled upon Derma E, but on Amazon. I used the night cream and I loved it and it lasted a long time. I do love my Fresh products, but this I have to say made my skin feel so hydrated and soft in the morning. I’m looking to add a couple of the products you recommend now. Thank you.
