Happy Friday! How was your week? We are in the thick of some pretty serious teething with Liam, so it’s been a long one over here. Frozen waffles, tooth oil, and extra snuggles have been in order! I’m looking forward to the weekend and taking a little bit of time for some self-care. Also, today is my nephew, Luke’s, sixth birthday, so we get to celebrate him later tonight! There are so many things that I love about living in the same city as family, but one of the top ones is being able to celebrate the smaller occasions together, like birthdays (not just Christmas and 4th of July!).

I’m still loving this mascara – the difference in one to two coats is stark! If you use it, I definitely recommend going back for a second coat (once the first has dried a bit). I use either a cleansing balm (broke down the three that I use and like in this post!) or this cleansing oil to remove my makeup at night.
Kinda wish I could just *snap* my fingers and have our bedroom look like this. I’ve had the hardest time getting a good flow in our room since we moved in. Part of it is that the existing furniture is a bit small for the space, so I feel like it needs more to take up visual space, but I also don’t want to just have a bunch of different furniture pieces. We’ve used the IKEA dresser that I bought for my Chicago apartment back in 2014, so I would love to swap that out for something more substantial that fits our style a little better. It’s a work in progress!
