Coffee Conversations

Happy first Friday of October! I’ll spare you the, “WHERE DID SEPTEMBER GO”/”time is flying”/”it’s basically Christmas” thing. But, really, it’s hard to believe! We are expecting our first bout of fall weather this weekend – only a high of mid-60’s tomorrow. It will probably still feel quite warm, especially if the sun is shining, but it beats the 90’s! This will be our third fall/winter in Virginia and it’s reminding me that I really do love our climate here. We get all four seasons, but they’re all pretty bearable and enjoyable. Plus, we still get a little snow in the winter, which I love!

*And that concludes my sales pitch for VA weather*

Madewell currently has a spend more, save more sale happening. If you spend $100+, you can get 20% off. Most of their denim is over $100, so if you’ve had your eye on some, you can get it at a discounted price! I had my eye on this coat and finally pulled the trigger, since I could get 30% off. It looks like the perfect coat for fall and early winter.

We’ve got some new arrivals over at Elisabeth Ashlie today! The Mini Pearl Drop Earrings are probably my favorite of the things we’ve added recently.

Have you ever made a seasonal bucket list for yourself or your family? I haven’t done one, but always loved the idea of it! I think it’s a fun way to make sure you’re getting out and doing things this season – experiencing things together. Mike and I can definitely get into a routine of just hanging out at home, watching a show or doing our own thing, so I love the idea of a feasible list of things that would get us out of our routine. The best part is that you can make the list up of things that don’t cost any money, so it would be a great activity for kids, too! I may have just talked myself into making one…!

Back to an old favorite nail polish this week, the prettiest pale pink.

Have a great weekend!
