Happy Friday! Today feels more like a Wednesday to me, but you won’t hear me complain about that! Earlier this week, Mike and I had the opportunity to get away for a little bit, while my parents stayed with Liam. It was really nice to have a little bit of time for us, but even more encouraging that Liam did great with my parents! While we got some much-needed quality time together, there’s just nothing like coming back home to your baby.

Have you watched anything recently that you’d recommend? It’s been awhile since Mike and I really got into a show and we miss it!

This pair of grey jeans that I recently added to my closet is majorly marked down! They’re super stretchy and comfortable. They make for a fun change from my usual blue or black jeans.

I started listening to a new Wondery podcast called, “The Apology Line”. There are only a couple episodes, but I’m very intrigued to see where it goes!

I’ve grown pretty bored of my closet. Have you ever felt that way? It’s a combination of a lot of things: ready for a new season to dress for, feeling like I don’t have a reason to get dressed since I’m home 98% of the time, tired of wearing the same few things I’ve been wearing. This past year, I’ve done very little clothing shopping, compared to previous years. My closet continues to get narrowed down to things I really like and feel good in, which is a great thing, but it does mean that I cycle through things quickly! I’m feeling like I need to do a little outfit/closet remix/styling challenge to get excited about the things that I have again! If I come up with a fun challenge idea, I’ll share what I’m doing, in case you’re in a similar situation!

My husband and I have really been enjoying Schitt’s Creek and Cobrai Kai, which is what happens 30 years after “The Karate Kid.” It’s great throwback fun with lots of 80’s schmaltz, if you’re into that kind of thing (and I SO am). Also great for bonding is “90 Day FiancĂ©e,” which is just great. So great.

But if you’re for dramas, which it seems like you and Mike are, we’ve been watching Ozark and it’s really interesting to see Jason Bateman do drama. If you liked Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul is just as excellent and even occasionally better (I KNOW).

Enjoy having the TV to yourselves while Liam is so tiny. In a month or two, you’ll start to feel like a lousy parent if you’ve got these shows on while he’s awake😂

Show Recc: On Netflix “Manhunt: Deadly Games”
On the Shorter side, a limited series type show, but it was good!
PS just got my Tarte order delivered, love the primer tinted BB cream (per my email!) but just got the Tarte Sea Water Foundation—to see if it’s a good longer wear that I could use for my wedding day without feeling like an itchy cakey mess! Thx for the coupon code, got the small size to try it out!

I thought of another show on Netflix, called Wanted. There’s a few titles with this name, the one we liked and watched is an Australian (3 season) show and the main characters are Chelsea and Lola. It’s fantastic.

You’ve probably watched a lot of these already but here’s the running google doc list I keep for people who ask me for show recc’s!

    Netflix:

    Spotlight (movie)
    The Fall
    Fauda
    The Battered Bastards of Baseball
    Lie to Me
    The Blacklist
    Longmire
    Wentworth
    Wanted (Chelsea and Lola)
    Broadchurch
    The Dawn Wall
Abducted in Plain Sight (is alright)
    I Am Jane Doe
    Outside Man with Reggie Yates
    The Killing
    In The Dark

    Amazon Prime:

    The Night Manager
    Bosch
    Mrs. Maisel
    Goliath
    Shameless
    Billions
    Homeland

    Chernobyl (mini series on HBO)

We love the Expanse it’s sci-fi/futuristic on Amazon Prime. Also Outlander, the Crown , and the Queen’s Gambit on Netflix. I also love Derry Girls on Netflix. The first episode had me cry laughing so hard in the last 10 minutes. I also just wanted to comment that I appreciate the round-up of things you have mentioned on stories/insta and your current promo codes. Very helpful! Thanks for being a bright spot on the internet/social media. I really enjoy following you!
