From Daytime to Date Night

If you browsed through my closet, you’d find mostly solid-colored basics and classic pieces, like lots of denim. While I’ll definitely buy a fun print here and there, I get so much more wear out of my basic, solid tops. They can be paired with any bottom, shoe, and bag, and transition from season to season pretty easily. Plus, opting for a simpler palette means that I can have a little more fun with things like jewelry and what bag I carry.

Simple tops, like this tank and this top, are also great for switching from day time activities to date night. Swap casual sandals for wedges, shorts for a skirt, and add some lipstick, and you’re good to go!

Day Outfit: Tank, Shorts, Slides, Bag // Date Night Outfit: Top, Shorts, Sandals

Both of these outfits are from Target. And both are under $60! I have a few places that are my go-to’s for closet staples like shorts and tees, Target being one of my first stops. I have some tees from years ago that I still wear regularly! Plus, it’s hard to beat $5 for a tank top or $15 for shorts that are good quality. I find myself buying the Universal Thread and A New Day brands most often – the fit is true to size and the pieces are versatile.

Now that I’ve got my next casual date night outfit styled, it’s time to get a babysitter on the calendar!

Thanks to Target for sponsoring this post!
