We just returned home from a wonderful trip to Riviera Maya in Mexico! This was our third time visiting the area since 2018 and we will definitely be back. For this trip, we traveled with 2 other couples and stayed at the Barceló Maya Riviera – Adults Only and it was so great! It was our second time to the resort. The first time we went was in 2019 and we stayed at the Palace. Since this was our last big trip before the babies are born and we weren’t traveling with kids, we opted for the new Adults Only hotel this time and I would highly recommend! The property is stunning, exclusivity of adults only is wonderful, and the vibe is just right for an adult getaway. It’s all-inclusive, so all food and drinks are included with your stay. An all-inclusive resort is our favorite kind of vacation – you don’t have to think about anything except what you want to do that day!
We chose a junior suite room, which was so spacious! We originally booked a “garden view”, but they moved us to an “ocean view” room because upon check-in because they had one open. Since we were on the second floor, it was more of a “pool view” room, but beautiful nonetheless! The food was good, service was great, and accommodations were incredible. We will definitely be back!

I’m curious, do you guys have any issues with feeling ill eating/drinking the food there in Mexico? That’s my biggest hesitation.

Did you fly into Cancun? Did you rent a car to drive to the resort?
We fly into Cancun and pre-book a private shuttle transfer to our resort.
