It's Wedding Week!

And just like that, it's the WEEK OF OUR WEDDING!

I truly can't believe it. It hasn't quite sunken in yet, that this time is finally here. Having thought about and planned for this week and the wedding for the last 7 months or so, it's wild that it is already here! I have a couple more days in Chicago, which will be spent packing more moving boxes, thinking through packing for our Honeymoon (we leave a week from today!) and going to some beauty appointments in preparation for Saturday.

I thought it might be fun to share some of my day-of details, like the lipstick I picked out and the robe I'm planning to wear.

I had a bit of a hard time finding a bridal robe that could be worn beyond the wedding day. You know, one that didn't have, "bride" written in gems on the back or embroidered on the front. I figured I'd be spending a bit more money, so I wanted one that I could use again. I found this beauty and can't wait to wear it! I picked up these robes for my bridesmaids - they're perfect!

I picked up this lipstick in Pink Cloud as my wedding day color.

I bought this cute romper to wear under my robe while getting ready that day.

The last thing I need to do is making a "getting ready" playlist!

  1. Enjoy this week, it will fly by! Our wedding was last September and I can't believe we're almost up on our one-year anniversary. After experiencing our beautiful day last year, I have one piece of advice for all bride-to-be's. Do your thing that day. If your favorite song comes on, or 10 of your favorite songs in a row, don't be afraid to spend all of that time on the dance floor tearing it up. I realized I probably didn't talk to 1/3 of our guests, and they were fine with that. I was SO happy to be dancing!

  4. It depends on what kind of music you want or like but I went on pandora and typed in Bachelorette Party as a station and it had some great songs! Also-you probably already have this taken care of but make a list of must have photos...I was so caught up in the moment and was so worried about people having to wait on us for pictures I completely forgot to get our photographer to take a photo of my mom and I. Biggest regret of my wedding day! Also-this may sound odd but my maid and matron of honor sped to the location my husband and I were staying at (before we got there) and lit tons of candles and had rose peddles everywhere. Just made it that much more special and romantic and took any pressure or expectations off my hubby to be!

  5. Enjoy every single moment of this week! It flies by so fast! Be sure to take moments to look around you and soak it all in. My husband and I got married almost one year ago, and we can recall every minute of our special day. So many memories to cherish! Congrats!!

  8. Can I recommend Andy Grammer- Good to Be Alive for your playlist? A quick rain shower delayed our outdoor wedding for about 15 minutes, and we played this song on repeat & danced around like fools while we all finished getting ready before the big moment. With it being such an emotional day, it was SO nice to have a lighthearted moment to get in a fun mood before the waterworks started again. Plus every time I hear it, I'm reminded of our day!
