Hello and Happy Saturday! We’re officially home from Maui and back on a normal schedule. While the jet lag wasn’t as bad as I was anticipating, it took more time to get back into the non-vacation mindset than I thought! I’m so thankful we were able to get away for a little bit (and to somewhere so beautiful!), but it feels good to be home and getting back into a routine. I’m going to be sharing all about our trip – where we stayed, what we did, and more – later next week, so stay tuned for that.
I was pretty firmly against belt bags (aka fanny packs, but a much better name) when I first saw them hit the scene, but after using one in Maui, I totally understand why they’re popular! It’s so much more comfortable than wearing a crossbody bag and is a nice way to take along only the things that you need. I loved it on vacation because I would only be carrying my phone, a couple cards, and some sort of lipstick or lip balm, so it was a great solution. The one I have is currently marked down to $25 — if you’ve wanted to try one, this is a great option!
We started watching season 2 of Mindhunter on Netflix on the plane and it’s good! Did you watch the first season? We’re a few episodes into the second and I’m definitely curious to see where it goes.

While it’s not quite time to decorate for fall, I definitely want to do something like this around our front door this year. We have a few steps leading up to it, so we have the space for it. I love how festive and welcoming it looks!
If you’re in the market for a light-weight puffer jacket, this is a great option! I love the pretty blush color, although they have other options, and that it’s light enough for our fall season here in VA.
