Happy Friday! It felt like a long week over here. With Mike’s “normal” fieldwork schedule, the days feel long. He didn’t get home until 7pm or later every night, so I had a lot of time to myself! After having him home regularly almost the entire first two years or our marriage, I’m still not used to him being gone during work hours for the majority of the week! I’m looking forward to getting in some quality time with him the next couple of days.

Have you seen the fall collection at Elisabeth Ashlie? We’ve got tassels in fall colors, some delicious smelling candles, and more!

For all my girls local to Raleigh, NC: my sister and I are hosting another shopping event at Madewell at Crabtree Mall on Thursday, the 19th. It will be from 6-8pm — we would love to meet you! I’ll share a reminder on Instagram a few days before, too!

I am still reading through The Silent Patient. It’s been really slow to me. I’d say I’m about halfway through (possibly further?) and every night I consider just quitting and starting a new one. I had heard and read great things about it, so I’m not sure if it’s going to pick up, or it’s just not quite my speed. I will say, in the last couple of nights, I’m feeling like it’s starting to pick up and I’m getting somewhere with it. Maybe it’s one of those books that’s really good once you finish and know the whole story? We’ll see! I’ll report back when I finally get to the ending.

If you’re in the market for a great-fitting classic striped tee, these are currently marked down to $12 in your cart! I ordered a couple and have worn them regularly. I’m often between an XS and S – I went with a S in these and it’s the right fit. I’m wearing one here.

We’ve got a low-key weekend planned. I feel like we go from one extreme to the other – either we’re traveling and booked up all weekend long, or we plan nothing so that we can just relax! We’ve got some plans with friends tonight, and then I’m hoping to go out tomorrow to find some pumpkins and mums for our front porch, but that’s it.

Have a great weekend!

I finished The Silent Patient last week. It’s definitely worth reading to the end. It will pick up and you will want to know the end:)

I was so close to buying The Silent Patient but something made me pick up two other books instead. I hope it does pick up and is a great read in the end, I can’t wait to hear what you think about it! Have a lovely weekend xx
