My Favorite Bras to Wear

It’s been a couple years since my original post about my favorite bras and things have changed a bit. Namely: I’ve had a baby! If you know, you know. I just went through and edited my bra drawer to keep just the bras that I wear and like. If you haven’t done this recently, I highly recommend! Even if it just means storing away the, “I might wear this again” bras somewhere else, it’s really nice to have a concise collection of bras to pull from.

For every day wear, I go for the Enbliss Wireless Bra. After trying out this bra and falling in love, I never want to wear a wired bra again! It’s comfortable, supportive, and provides a nice shape. I like that it has contoured cups, which help to support and create a little bit of lift. I’ve shared it many times and heard from women of all shapes and sizes that they also love it! It has over 5k reviews with 4.6 stars!

I recently started wearing the Tommy John Second Skin Triangle Bralette and it’s comfortable! I don’t like the feeling of wearing a sports bra all day, so this is a great option for days when I’m in athletic wear. I also like it for lounging at night or in the morning. It has removable pads and the straps can be worn classic or cross-back.

A long-time favorite bralette of mine is the Aerie Eyelash Lace Plunge Bralette. It’s comfortable, pretty, and can be worn a lot of different ways. It works really well with a top that has a wider neckline or deep v because you can see some of the lace detail peeking out. I wore this one a lot through pregnancy, too!

The other bra that I get a good amount of use out of, especially this time of year, is the Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Strapless Bra. Listen, I know strapless bras come with a lot of strong opinions. Some people can’t wear them, some people won’t wear them. Personally, I don’t want to limit my wardrobe by refusing to wear a strapless bra. I’ve tried several over the years and this one is the best that I’ve tried. It stays in place (most importantly!) and is pretty comfortable for a strapless. I wouldn’t want to wear it everyday, but within about 5 minutes of putting it on, I forget that I’m wearing it. The reviews speak for themselves!

Where do you recommend going for bra fittings? I’m small chested, which you’d think would make it easier, but bra cup lines always wind up showing under my clothes and I’m waaaaay over the whole trial and error process.

My mom and sister have both done it at Nordstrom and enjoyed it!

Does the aerie lace bra look bumpy under shirts? I’ve yet to find a lace bralette it that does not look bumpy and lumpy!

Yes, you can see that it is made of lace under a fitted shirt!

Hello Lauren! All of the above categories are my favorite but I will go with the convertible strapless bra. It has more hooks for larger sizes and has comfortable boning on the sides.

Have you seen that the band on the Enbliss stretches out over time? How well does this bra hold up?

The band does stretch a bit with wear, but goes back to it’s normal size after washing (in my experience)
