Bras I Wear With “Difficult” Things

Ever put on a top wearing your everyday bra and realize it isn’t going to work? While a strapless or racerback bra may not be the best fit for everyone, I do think that many women can wear them! I can’t tell you how many times I show myself in a top that would show a standard bra and am asked what kind I’m wearing. If you’re someone who doesn’t own a strapless bra because they’re uncomfortable or you haven’t found one that works for you, I would highly encourage you to shop around a bit and try to find one that you like. It will broaden your wardrobe options immensely! You could even opt for a sticky bra, if you prefer that.

Here are some examples of styles that I wear with bras that aren’t a traditional t-shirt bra (without any straps showing!):

1. Athletic Tops

Bra Style I Typically Wear: A Bralette with Convertible Straps

My Favorite: Tommy John Second Skin Triangle Bralette (I usually wear it as a racerback)

2. Spaghetti/Thin Strap Tops

Bra Style I Typically Wear: A Strapless Bra

My Favorite: Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Strapless Bra (also comes with straps that can be worn multiple ways)

3. Racerback Tops

Bra Style I Typically Wear: A Racerback Bra

My Favorite: Soma Enbliss Front-Close Racerback Bra

4. Fitted Tee or Unforgiving Fabric

Bra Style I Typically Wear: A Smooth, Lightly Padded Bra

My Favorite: Soma Enbliss Wireless Bra

5. One Shoulder Tops

Bra Style I Typically Wear: A Strapless Bra

My Favorite: Wacoal Red Carpet Convertible Strapless Bra (could also wear with a single strap)
